FROM THE NORTH:
Take Highway 101 south to Willits. Take Highway 20 west to Fort Bragg. When Highway 20 meets the coast (T-intersection), you will turn left (south) onto Highway 1. Go about 8 miles and you will be near the village of Mendocino. Mendocino has one stoplight on Highway 1. Continue south for about 1 mile past the Comptche-Ukiah Road. Shortly after that you will see a water tower on the east side of the highway which is marked Brewery Gulch Inn. On the opposite side (west) of the road there will be a sign for a Vista Point. Begin to slow down a little. You will see a blue roofed mailbox on the east side of the highway that is placed just beyond the Brewery Gulch Inn driveway. Turn left (east) into that driveway from the highway. Follow the signs and arrows up the hill to the inn.
An alternate route is to follow Highway 101 through the redwoods to Leggett. Turn right (west) on Highway 1 and go south for about 1 1/2 hours through Fort Bragg and Mendocino.
